Dennis Galimberti was admitted to practice to the Supreme Court of Victoria in 1980. He completed his Articles with Peter Kempson & Co. and transferred to Maurice Blackburn Lawyers in 1983 where he practiced as a Personal Injury Lawyer. He was admitted as a Partner of Maurice Blackburn in 1986. Mr Galimberti left the partnership to become the CEO of the Footscray Football Club (now the Western Bulldogs F.C.) in 1987, a position he held for 10 years. While CEO of the Footscray Football Club, he opened and administered the first club gaming venue in Victoria based at the Whitten Oval in 1992 (formerly Western Oval). As part of his sojourn into football administration, he was involved in a landmark case where a club member, Irene Chatfield, obtained an injunction in the Supreme Court to stay a secret merger which had been negotiated by the club's board with the then VFL and the Fitzroy Football Club. Mr Galimberti 'blew the whistle' on the secret merger which led to an avalanche of community support and the court case which overturned the merger. Mr Galimberti returned to private practice in 1996 and is an expert in Liquor and Gaming Law. He was initially a consultant to Hall & Thompson and is now one of three partners of the firm (since 2006). Mr Galimberti is regarded as one of the leading lawyers in Liquor and Gaming Law and acts for many prominent venues. He has had the carriage of a number of prominent applications before the Liquor Licensing Panel, the Victorian Commission for Gambling Regulation (VCGR) and the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT). Mr Galimberti is a Life Member of the Western Bulldogs Football Club and the Sandringham Football Club and is also Secretary of the Sandringham Football Club which is an honorary position. Peter Ruston Kempson, Solicitor DirectorPeter was the founder of the firm in 1969. He has practised extensively and is highly regarded as an expert in Property, Commercial and Corporate law including Defamation, Copyright, De Facto law, Wills and Estates. Peter has wide experience in all areas of law, especially Will Contesting. Over the years Peter has become an expert in dealing with Family Provisions and Contesting of Wills cases. Peter believes that those who are in need receive what they deserve. "I do not like dealing with claims that are merely pursued to obtain funds from the estate. If a person is in need or disadvantaged because they have been left out of a Will, I will do everything in my power to fight for them," he said. Peter is a strong negotiator who will put every effort into settling your claim prior to court proceedings, but he also thrives in a courtroom and is ready to ensure clients' rights are pursued when negotiations do not succeed.
